How we came about

It was a series of chance meetings with small business owners who were struggling to keep up with the rapid changes occurring in modern sales and marketing. Their well established businesses were all of a sudden not getting the leads they used to. Their traditional advertising was not getting the results it used to get.

Most importantly, no one was giving them the practical, down to earth tools and advice they needed to help them improve their sales again.

As business owners ourselves with many years experience across a hugely diverse range of industries we thought we’d step in and see what we could do. It’s as simple as that!

How we got going

Market research. Listening. Understanding. Implementing. Networking.

Really – that’s it! (OK, there’s a lot of hard work, focus and determination in there too but that’s a given)

  • Market Research – after talking to a lot of people, we found out that business owners want a quality website to promote their business, without a large initial outlay
  • Listening – we heard that they don’t want to have to write the words themselves and they don’t want to have to learn how to do it themselves – even if it is “drag and drop”. They do want to keep their websites up to date – quickly and easily
  • Understanding – when we looked at the marketplace we saw that there were some fantastic web designers out there, we saw that there were some good “build your own site” websites but what we couldn’t find was a company delivering a fully inclusive website service
  • Implementing – so the concept was born. Superb quality websites that truly represent what a business does NOW, not last year. A very low initial investment and a website service that includes all ongoing changes and updates – for a single monthly fee with no hidden extras.
  • Networking – a common theme throughout the growth of Yescando has been the networking we do. We attend approximately 20 meetings a month between us and meet a vast number of local business of all types. As a result we have made a lot of friends, done a lot of business (gaining both customers and suppliers) and learned a lot about ourselves, our business and our marketplace.

What does this all mean?

We recognised early on that technology is here to stay, and would become a major part of our business lives. We also recognised that it’s not all about the technology, that it’s a tool to help us get our message across in a very effective way. When you talk to us you won’t hear about megabytes, html tags, plugins and widgets, we’ll talk about business – your business
